RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 "Don't let this guy beat you", just isn't marital advice. Pertains to baseball as well.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Oh yeah, nice relay by Sano. Not sure that counts a s clicking for Rooker, but at least it wasn't all bad.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 That Simmons hit looked like something Rosario would do ... high ball out of the zone and reach up and take a swat
RpR Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Good time for Bux. to pop one out.

RpR Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 The announcer is full of bollocks, Buxton missed the home run by a long way, not just missed. Well the Twins started the game with every one above .200 BA.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Just would like to remind those watching the broadcast that Morneau's lifetime OPS vs. left handers was .710 and Mauer's was .740. Not exactly the way it is being portrayed by Mr. Bremer.

RpR Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Now if Sano cannot reach the ball, should he not do as he did a game or so ago and just leave the bag and catch the ball?

My impression is was cutting it off, and the misplay allowed the runner to score, but also ended the inning. Who knows what the next batter does? So it coulda been worse.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Despite too many pitches, Gant has yielded only one earned run in three innings.

It wasn't something Rooker did to get the out. Rooker kicked the ball and cost the team a run. I guess you could say that Rooker hit the cutoff guy, which allowed Sano to gun down the runner.

I should be calling ya out for the double negative: "Not sure that counts." "No" (implying it does count) But meh, you are right, the run sucks, and it was a missed play. But something good came of it none the less. It is standing as the difference of the game.
RpR Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 It should be a tie game and I hope Gant does not lose 2 to 1.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Good inning from Moran there. More of that, please!

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Not about the Twins, but still the perfect tweet.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I'm glad the Twins promoted Jovani Moran. I was beginning to wonder if they ever brought up relievers that worked their way up through the system, rather than using marginal starters in the bull pen.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Mr springer should control his emotions, or at least hit himself in the head with a sledge hammer.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Two excellent innings from Moran.

RpR Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Twins have two hits, Jays have three -- that error was costly, so far. Twins die by the walk but rarely their opponents.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Buxton taking an important step forward that we needed to see for sustained performance: taking bases on balls when the pitcher refuses to throw him strikes.
