Perhaps Da Bears are going to muck up Fields development.

I can't see how. The Bears are pretty reliable when it comes to developing QBs..........

They still took a lot of middle and deep shots though too.  I think what you're see is we're attacking all levels of the defense based on what they're giving us.

Dude still had nearly 9 yards per throw.  It's not like we're checking down and dinking and dunking.  When he dropped back he had a lot of clean pockets.  Not to mention the massive, gaping holes they are opening in the running game.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a criticism at all. Getting the ball out quick is absolutely the way to go. Very impressed with Cousins this year.

Agreed, I guess I just meant to point out that there was a good mix.  More quick throws is a good thing, but they weren't all that way.  Frankly, it seemed like a very diversified set of plays - screens, short throws against cushions, play action with rollouts, play action from the pocket, slants, deep ins, inside runs, outside runs, zones, tosses, some power runs.  I don't remember the last time a Vikings offense looked that eclectic.

So, being a Vikings fan I’m just waiting for Cousins to turn back into a pumpkin.

No later than 4th quarter of the NFC championship game.

Cousins doesn’t look nearly as sharp as he did the last two weeks

The OL is getting exposed by the Browns DL, as expected.

They haven’t given up a sack until just now.

I think the bigger problem is Cook shouldn't be out there.  The line battle hasn't been one sided, they are holding their own.

Yeah he doesn’t look even close to 100%

What is with the playcalling this game.

Run, run, pass. Wash, rinse, repeat. Kirk threw a beautiful pass to convert 3rd down to Jefferson, then we go right back to a run up the middle on 1st down? I don’t get it.

Ball game. 1-3. Baker Mayfield was truly awful in this game and our offense couldn’t take advantage. Bradbury got torched most of the game by blitzes and twists up the middle. That’ll be the template every opposing defense will copy the rest of the season.

Wow. You’ve got 2 of the best route running, contested catch WRs in the game. You’ve gotta trust them to make a play, even when it’s not obvious.

The defense played ok but man was the offense a mess after the first drive.  Our WR were not getting quick separation and their D-line is too good to hold on to the ball.

The defense knew Cleveland was going to run and couldn't do squat to stop the Browns. It should have been a two touchdown game if Mayfield didn't suck. Any why doesn't Blake Lynch tuck in his damn shirt either?!

Our run defense is a serious problem.  I don't understand why we're so bad.  That 30 yard run before half....good god.

I haven't seen Mayfield that much, but was the poorest performance I've seen. He had no touch around the end zone and made some bad throws. Still, he didn't have any turnovers and managed the game well enough to come away with a win.

1-3. Gads. I know there's an extra game and all but this doesn't really feel like a winning team this year. Feels like we're really wasting some offensive potential too. 7-10? 8-9? Strange to have odd number of games.

Seems like other teams with good receivers still throw to them successfully even when they are covered. Kirk’s fear of throwing picks does have drawbacks too.

Kirk, or Zimmer's coaching (or both)? We don't know, but if I had to guess, I'd guess both.

Yeah overall Kirk has been good this year. I think this just emphasizes the belief that he’s not the type of QB who could win you a Super Bowl and why this team could never be elite.

Zimmer has been bad and this team’s decade + failure to sniff a competent OL is why the team is losing though.
