wavedog Verified Member Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Donaldson is usually good for a pinch-hit double-play. Let's see if he has something else up his sleeve.

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Is there a good reason Rocco didn't pinch run for Jeffers?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Diaz kills another rally. If you don't make them make a play, you never really know, you are just guessing. Are we the only team that can rarely score from first on a double? Twice in one inning. Arraez and Jeffers. Seriously. What does this team have to lose by being agressive now? Nothing. Nothing at all. But a lot to gain.

mnfireman Verified Member Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Simmons is only slightly faster than Jeffers and Astudillo is significantly slower than everybody......
chpettit19 Community Moderator Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 7 minutes ago, Winston Smith said: Is there a good reason Rocco didn't pinch run for Jeffers? Astudillo and Simmons are the only guys left on the bench. Jeffers is 22 percentile sprint speed, Tortuga is 8, Simmons is 31. So Simmons is slightly faster than Jeffers, but still not sure he scores from first on a double and you'd have emptied your bench (Astudillo would then have to replace Simmons at catcher).
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Arraez is so much fun to watch when he has at least one and a half functioning legs.
RpR Verified Member Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Should have pinch hit Astudillo for Sano.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 The season series ends at 2 apiece, and Mahle breaking Buxton's hand.

Irishman Verified Member Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Sano had two GIDP twice. Baldelli needs to bench him!
