Dude’s hauling a couple of trailers behind him. It's one thing to ask that he actually finds his way on base. Apparently quite another to ask that he get around them in a reasonable amount of time!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Cruz was the guy we wanted up there in that situation. Oh well.
Danchat Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Is Donaldson only programmed to hit solo HRs?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 One run at a time. One run at a time.

I have high expectations for him.

Better to give up a solo shot and be done with it, if you want to take the chance, especially in a close game.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Tell me if you’ve heard this before. Sano whiffs for strike 3.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Sano needs a complete physical with a head CT scan. I'm not putting him down, but there has to be a possibility of something physical wrong with his vision, perception or his mental processing of images.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 There really isn't any need for Sano to swing with a 2 strike count, unless it is 3-2, and maybe the percentages would say even then. The pitcher is going to just throw it outside at the bottom of the zone level. It will be a ball. But Sano just has to swing at it, every time it seems. They should just give Sano the take sign, perhaps, and go with the odds, like the shift.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Looking at the Twins dugout is like looking at a company's multiple vice presidents. A bunch of overpaid people dooing nothing.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Crazy to think the Twins only have 1 more series against the White Sox starting on August 9th. By that point they may have both Jimenez and Robert back in their lineup… It’s probably a blessing we don’t play them in September when they’re trying to heat up for a playoff run.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 You have to be kidding me. Colome with the bases loaded? Giving any pitcher in our pen 3 inherited runners is a recipe for disaster. Probably on the first couple of pitches.
