They’re 9th in reliever BBs (in other words, 20 teams are worse). Maybe it’s just in tight games. Easier to throw strikes in blowouts
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Twins would be fools to throw big money at Jose. We’re so far away from competing.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 We got 4 runs to score befor 3 outs. Time to put up, or something.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 I started watching in the bottom of the 7th....seemingly about 2 hours ago. The game ground to a halt, Insufferable. Twins have no pitching at all. None. There isn't one reliever who can get the job done. They diddled around...took about 1 minute between pitches, couldn't throw strikes, and then when they did, the 1st place team tore them apart. This game was a horror show exposing all the warts. Just no fun at all watching this team.

RpR Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Morneau sounds like Black Night from Monte Python -- We've had worse!
downunder twins fan Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 I am sure other teams are dying to trade for our relievers.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 It doesn't help that Rogers right now is in one of his awful periods. When he goes bad, he is REALLY bad. And there is nobody to bail him out. it really bugs me....pitchers who slow the game down to a crawl. Rarely are they ever effective. Go after the hitter. Keep your 'd' alert. Twins pitchers did neither tonite.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 It always makes me nervous to see Donaldson sprint like that.

I'm sure the Rays would be licking their chops to buy low on guys like Colome and Robles for a low level prospect and turn them back into great relievers. Or if they could get their hands on Alcala, they'd turn him into their next closer. And then trade him in 2023.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 The bats must not be able to stand the pitchers, these days. Must be a very uncomfortable clubhouse.
