glunn Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 It's taking a long time to hear about why Buxton left the game.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Well let that be a lesson to ya. Get yer @@@ here on time in the future. Yeah, the next time the Twins drop a challenge this bad, I want to see it from start to finish and try to spot the exact moment in the dugout closeup when Rocco starts listening to his right shoulder. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SeuSk5Nv6pI/Sua5SunLfrI/AAAAAAAAADM/OPCRfWppYCA/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/fixitology_socialmedia_pinto.jpg
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Seems pretty clear the outlier is the .995 OPS on 2019, not what happened before or since. He never put up the kind of numbers in the minors that would support the idea he's anywhere close to that good. However, he also shouldn't be this bad. Hopefully he levels off into a dangerous kind of .750-ish hitter. That's my estimate of where he sort of "belongs." He did have a OPS of .928 one year in AAA, so there is some precedent for his outbreak. I don’t know what’s happened to him, but he has the potential to be a really good hitter.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 We need a reaction button other than 'like'. I mean, this is a good post, but I sure as $**#)@(@( don't "like" it.Hmm. What what would that look like. Maybe an”ISBIC” button for “It Stinks, But I Concur”?

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Tuned in just in time to see a major league play by Polanco. Hip hip Jorge!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 It's taking a long time to hear about why Buxton left the game. I think that on weekends it takes longer to get results for mail-in stool sample tests for migraines.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Author Posted April 4, 2021 "Undisclosed reason" Means we don't know either. Hopefully Rooker takes avantage of the opportunity.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Because the first thing I do as a fan after doinking a fly ball and then running over to pick it up is take off my shirt and flex...

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Because the first thing I do as a fan after doinking a fly ball and then running over to pick it up is take off my shirt and flex... In almost every away game vs the Brewers, a hometown fan finds a way to remind me I'm kinda glad to not be from Milwaukee.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Author Posted April 4, 2021 Do other pitchers end up fielding as much as Pineda? Seems like his doing a fair bit of it.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Is Pineda wearing his hat less crooked this year? I think it's having a positive effect on his pitching.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Do other pitchers end up fielding as much as Pineda? He, uh...covers a lot of ground.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Author Posted April 4, 2021 Because the first thing I do as a fan after doinking a fly ball and then running over to pick it up is take off my shirt and flex...I have a lot to learn about being a fan.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 The 7 hopper out to short right? He's now 1 for 2 on that play.Yeah, well, I meant to add that on the play to his right that Plonk did make, Nick Gordon does not make that play. Not unless he has improved greatly during the intervening two years. He just doesn't.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Garver goes yard, and even better, Baldelli can't challenge it!

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Do other pitchers end up fielding as much as Pineda?Seems like his doing a fair bit of it.To be fair, he does have a little more surface area to protect than most pitchers do. EDIT: Yeah, like Chief said.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Author Posted April 4, 2021 Bunting doesn't seem to be working. I suggest a new strategy.
