That Maeda trade isn't working out well so far, at all. The guy rarely if ever K's the side.

Except for that one time where he set the Twins record for most hitters K'd in a row!

I think you mean pitches, not innings. ;) Absolutely agree on the last sentence, though.

I haven't said this for a while so I'll annoy everyone by repeating it. I accept that the red jerseys are not ugly but the Twins do not look like the Twins in red. And we simply do not need to go back to the '70's with the powder blue abominations. Can't we please just have one home uni and one road uni? Home should be cream pinstripes but with the modern logo instead of the bugly script from the '60's. And hire a good designer to come up with some handsome road grays that do not look like Cleveland or Atlanta.

That is all.

 

Watching the Twins and the Cardinals earlier in the week, I was impressed that the Cardinals seem to have the same classic uniforms every time I have seen them. Similarly, other "historic" teams such as the Red Sox and Yankees don't change uniforms every year, if ever. Why can't the Twins do that?

Pennant race update: Tigers score three vs. Giolito, lead 3-0 in the bottom of 6. Mize has allowed no hits for Detroit through 5.

Sox get a hit, so much for the no-hitter. Two on, none out for Chicago in the sixth.

Marwin can't hit anything right now.

Yup, he has reached the Mendoza line. Not good, but with Arraez out, he and Adrianza are going to be playing at 2B. I kinda wish we would have given Blankenhorn a shot to see if he could hit any better by this point.
