Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Just gonna let Adrianza and his .174 avg hit here in the 2nd to last inning? I don’t get it
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Yeah, can we rely on a real rally here? A 2 out rally no less? I am leary.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Two days off in a row coming up and we’re sticking with these .200 or worse guys
twinbythebay Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Another absurdity, the Astros are currently 21-21 and they’re a 6 seed, ahead of the 27-17 twinsEverything about the playoffs this season is ridiculous and unfair (for all of the teams that are actually good, at least). It's going to be funny when the Marlins knock the Dodgers out of the first round with a couple of fluky wins.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Oh damn Rocco is breaking out the big guns. Tortuga in the box
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Gotta bring Buxton in to pinch run for Jeffers now right?

The only fair way when you don’t play anyone outside the division.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 I don't get why Polanco/Buxton/Arraez haven't pinch hit yet over Adrianza or Gonzalez. Those two have been black holes in the lineup recently.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 That was u-g-l-y by willans
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 1.5 innings to go...
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Another walk issued by the ump.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Dick talking about getting Kepler back, but to be honest I'd rather see Rooker out there
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Thinking ahead, that is.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Are our pitchers getting hit more than others?
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Thinking ahead, that is.We're already in the 13th inning, but I was trying to be polite about it.
twinbythebay Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 This year it should be seeded based on winning % only. The only fair way when you don’t play anyone outside the division.I actually think that this is the best argument for why they set up the seeding the way they did. While schedules are unbalanced between divisions in normal years, they are fully unbalanced this year since you only play against teams in one other division besides your own. Basing the seeding solely on winning % would punish teams that play in better divisions.
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Damn bad luck. Hope Alcala will be okay.
twinbythebay Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Jeez, it seems like Twins opponents are using Twins pitchers for target practice this season...

Basing the seeding solely on winning % would punish teams that play in better divisions.Yes but the 1st AND 2nd place teams in each division automatically make it and automatically get a higher seed than a team who finishes third in one division but might have a better record than one of the 2nd place finishers. In this case, the second place team in the east (Toronto) and in the West (Houston) have significantly worse records than the currently third place twins. The twins would be punished for playing in the best division in baseball. I’d much rather be in the 4th of 5th place spot than in 7th, having to play the 2nd best division winner
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Swinging first pitch down three runs in the last inning.

Some day i will learn this politeness, i hope. Anyway whileit could happened better, i am glad the player called up for the double header got in the game.
jun Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Poppen made sure that run scored and charged to Alcala.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Well, only 2 runs to tie...
