kydoty Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Eddie you unbelievable moron...
Diesel Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Author Posted September 7, 2020 Eddie..... what was that!?!?
big dog Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Great at-bats by Jeffers and Rooker, so happy to see that. And they didn't get thrown out on the bases, either.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 So far so good, but I imagine he's going to run into K troubles eventually (pitchers making adjustments) and he'll have to overcome that. He had a pretty high K rate in AAA. That's not to say I don't believe in him, but it won't be easy.Oh, he’ll definitely hit bumps in the road as pitchers adjust but he’s looking like a more polished hitter than I expected.
big dog Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Eddie..... what was that!?!?Well, the rule is never make the first or third out at third base. Eddie must have figured the second out wasn't a big deal.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Not to worry. Eddie got him in. And Donaldson. And he sacrificed himself to make sure Rook scored too.such nobility!
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 And yet another baserunning blunder by Eddie. I just don't understand why he stopped. I mean, it looked like he was already two thirds of the way to to third. If you're aggressive, be really aggressive and run to the base at full speed...
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 It looked like Eddie was watching Rooker being sent home from third and he probably assumed that the ball went further than it did or they may try to throw out Rooker at home.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 It's raining in the western suburbs. Let's get a washout right now.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 We are lucky. Maybe good too, but not getting my hopes up yet. And before the 4th and a half inning no less. And i wanted to compliment Rosario's fielding to his back hand, but i'm afraid that would end up being a backhanded compliment. Not sure i could find a more deserving fellow...
Twins_Fan_For_Life Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 RIP Tom Seaver and Lou Brock
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 That ball hit rosarios glove - but he was looking where he was in relation to the wall ?, - Favorite Eddie analogy = like the movie -The good -the bad and ugly, The guy is entertaining , ill give him that
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 What was that about Cave bunting?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Cave bunted it too softly. If it gets past the pitcher he might have made a double out of it.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 JEFFERS AGAIN!!! Jeffers is a future AS catcher, I think
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Cave bunted it too softly. If it gets past the pitcher he might have made a double out of it.I am not greedy... At the moment anyway.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 liking the small ball, good job Mr. Jake Cave
Twins_Fan_For_Life Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 I have to believe we're going to see more and more of players bunting and just chopping the ball the other way to beat the shift.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Jake Cave, certified foul ball robber
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 And Cave reaches over the wall to haul in a foul ball. Edit: I am Nine jawed... Wise game threader never discusses game. Feed might be delayed.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Norris! Westfalia driver.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 "Twins are done in the 5th" Does that mean the game is official?
kydoty Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 And that kids is why you always sprint down the 1st base line no matter how unlikely it is you will beat it out.
kydoty Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 "Twins are done in the 5th"Does that mean the game is official?Technically the game was official after the top of the 5th since the Tigers had five innings to hit and the Twins had the lead at the time.
JNess21 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 It will never not drive me insane when professional baseball players don't give it their all when running the bases. Especially a rookie. Hopefully he learns from it!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Big Mike through 6 really good innings
Diesel Verified Member Posted September 7, 2020 Author Posted September 7, 2020 Big Mike looks good this year! Hopefully he can stay healthy
