He was. This isn't a debate, at least that I have seen. Both things can be true. He was hurt last year, but his defense was bad (because of the injury)

Rosario’s defensive metrics and sprint speed have been in decline for years.

 

Hopefully last year was health related but there are definitely legit reasons to be concerned about his defense (minus the arm).

He was rated among the league's worst outfielders range-wise, if I recall right. I think a big part of that was the sprained ankle that he played through.

He did some lollygagging last year too. I don't know if this year he's being more on the ball.

maybe he should just become a reliever and just bat for himself a la Ohtani only a better hitter

Royals manager took Kubic out with one man on just before facing Nelson Cruz . Rocco should learn something from that.

Rocco would never be starting two rookies in the rotation anyway....if he ever has to, none of us would prolly even be here. I would probably be watchin it in the garage with the lights off.

If the Twins win tonight they will still need to sweep the Royals next weekend to win the season series

so very true, however the royals will surely be watching the twins in the playoffs from their living rooms.
