LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 To avoid the Gladden factor, I’ve been listening to Uecker the last three innings. He definitely shows his age in a not-so-good way, but he’s been going on about great Twins from the ’60s. The thought of him hitting a long homer off Jim Kaat in the Northern League goes way back.Bob Uecker belongs in the hall of fame
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Bob Uecker belongs in the hall of fame He is, if you count the Ford Frick Award that he won in 2003. YouTube his induction speech — it’s hilarious. The MLB Network special on him from a month or so ago was also excellent.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 An 0-2 home run. Just like how it was 0-2 on dyson the other day

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Six outs, before they get two runs. C'mon Romo and Rogers. / edit - five outs
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Kyle Gibson pitched 4 1/3 threw 89 pitches gave up 9 hits and 4 runs tonight against the Mariners
Danchat Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Why isn't Peralta in Milwaukee's rotation? He's got some really good stuff and can clearly go several innings.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Welp I’m impressed by Mr Peralta
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I will certainly take a win any way we can get it, but this was another poor offensive showing tonight

I've had him in fantasy in past years. His strikeout rates always very high, but usually his outings are either like the one we just saw or he can't throw strikes and get out of the first inning.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Seeing that double, keeps haunting me of Yankee stadium call years ago
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Good win. Offense still looks kind of stale though.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 That little monkey's off the team's back now, right?

John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I put together a diary of sorts, tracking my thoughts throughout the game tonight. First time using that as an article format so I wasn't really sure what I was doing, but I think it came out ok. Give it a read if you have a few spare minutes: http://twinsdaily.com/blog/1348/entry-11972-game-diary-twins-vs-brewers-810/
