notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Mike Ryan had a 4 hit game wiped out in 2002 in Detroit due to rain. That's right, he had four hits in four innings. That really screwed his statistics over as he had limited time that year.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 That home run with Kepler on base looked strangely familiar somehow, like it happened in a dream or something...Did we give two runs back in the bottom half of the inning in that dream?
bighat Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Gonna be a test here the 2nd time through the order for D. Smelz. C'mon buddy.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Let Smeltzer go through the bottom three, but I'd pull him for the second time through the lineup.100 % AGREE
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 I guess Max and Jorge heard that they have bad numbers against Clevinger and said “here’s your bad numbers”.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Gonna be a test here the 2nd time through the order for D. Smelz. C'mon buddy. It'd be bad managing to let him see the lineup a second time, in my opinion.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Perez has killed the Twins this year. Let's stop that trend!

FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 I wonder if Smeltzer puts on a little weight this offseason, can he add a couple ticks to his fastball?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Two ball, two strikes, two on, two out... “Deuces Wild”, as Vin Scully used to say

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 this is why the Twins may not get to post season. Our 3 best hitters all strike out with a runner at 2nd. Far too many k's lately as Twins just can't get runners home without a HR anymore. Two k's on 3-2 pitches...all 3 hitters didn't come close to contact. If this doesn't change, and fast, we are dead in the water. Very frustrating watching this going on. Only four teams have a lower strikeout percentage than we do.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Wow, what a big inning! Good job, Smeltzer!
