And we wonder why Gibson nibbles around the strike zone. When he throws it over, not so good things tend to happen.

I don’t know what the deal is. They showed a graphic during the game. Gibson has the second highest swing and miss rate on his breaking pitch in the MLB (exactly 50%). It’s higher than Corbin and Clevinger (widely considers to have some of the best breaking stuff in the game).

He’s got the stuff. He just didn’t trust it. He’s forced to throw a fastball eventually, and catches too much of the plate.

Schoop got a meaningful hit?

Eh, one on first, one out in the top of the fourth....not high leverage enough for Schoop.

It is a one run game, and for this guy?  That is as high leverage as he is gong to get.

Bases loaded, Garver strikes out and it's very possible the Twins don't score this inning. Unreal.

I'm starting to wonder if teams are just going to start pitching the Twins into bases loaded situations if this continues

Edit: Nevermind!

Chased ball four three times.

I can't like this, but I agree with it. Maybe because RBI is no longer an important statistic?

Bad AB.

"This team isn't good with the bases loaded" isn't an excuse for anyone, not sure why people keep saying that, like it's something the Twins can't control.

Someone needs to teach these guys how to make contact and hit sac flies.
