Game Thread: Twins vs. Cleveland 5:10 PM PST (7:10 PM CDT) 8/8/2019

[MNT1996]

2 runs against Hand is gonna be pretty tough

[twinsnorth49]

Where was that against the #9 hitter?

[ashbury]

Like for the photo...blame for those two runs is on Gnibbler and Bullwinkle's buddy

And, as events have played out... May just blew the save, anyway.

_{^{(I know, I know, we would have seen another chap in May's place...)}}

[ashbury]

I will normally defend May, but... uh... I got nothin'.

[Kato87]

Brad Hand... Mr. Hand "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"

[Riverbrian]

Littell in the 5th inning:

I have a Pepsi glass.

I only drink Coke out of it.

I'm just saying that people sometimes do it on purpose.

Clarification: I was referencing your bananas and not Mr. Littell.

[yarnivek1972]

I will normally defend May, but... uh... I got nothin'. He's a guy this team should be able to develop into a solid reliever, but alas... we relied on our ability to develop internal options (which I don't think is a bad thing in of itself), but it turns out they aren't very good at that.

May isn’t the one who put May into the game. That should have been Romo, Duffy or Rogers. What are the Twins saving them for?

[twinsnorth49]

Well all that Garver talk was worth the wait....

[Riverbrian]

I know longer trust people from Georgia.

[Aggies7]

Trying to wear out their closer for tomorrow I guess

[ashbury]

I still think Adrianza looks like A-Rod's little cousin.

[yarnivek1972]

On the plus side, even if Hand closes this out, he probably will be no go tomorrow. He will likely be over 25 pitches tonight.

[twinsnorth49]

The chance was in the 8th, couldn't make it happen.

[tvagle]

I still think Adrianza looks like A-Rod's little cousin.

Hits more like J-Lo's little cousin...but it worked out there!
