New Season and I need to warm up just a bit:

Since it's early in Spring Training, not much is expected. But, as flowers and deer in the meadows of MN indicate that spring is near,

JulyCanada

so too, Spring Training games hold promise of the start of the season of the greatest sport ever invented, baseball.

Play ball!

Pitching for the Twins:

Kohl Stewart.

Pitching for the Nationals:

Patrick Corbin.

Lineups: Eh, Spring Training games. Maybe I'll get to it. Maybe someone will pick up the slack and get up some lineups posted.

:)

Hey all, it's been quite the winter. We've experienced quite a bit of rain here in the Central Valley of CA. We've even had cold snaps where the temps dropped into the mid-thirties! Talk about chilly!*

If I have have time I will set up a Gofundme page to help you buy a rain coat.   I guess on the flip side the fires in Minnesota are small and mostly welcome.

post-2738-0-42322900-1551550286_thumb.jpeg On Jan 30, we had no snow on the ground and were worried about pipes freezing and bursting.

Sorry the pic of my patio table is sideways, I can’t figure out how to rotate :(

Took a peek, Stewart looks to have been knocked around a bit. 3 BB and no strike-outs is a bit concerning, I think, because I believe pitchers are supposed to be ahead of hitters this early in ST.

Though, again, it's early.

Jake Reed gave up a 2 run HR to Kurt Suzuki and Thorpe gave up a grand slam... yikes!

On the bright side...Power Pitchers!

Really confused by something I just read about Stewart, (And believe I've heard mentioned not too long ago), about his adding a slider to go with his curve.

But since the day he was drafted we've heard about mid 90's FB and a potential wipe out slider. So what's he been throwing all this time? A hard curve/slurve???

Yeah Astudillo went yard. He's doing his best to make this a tough decision for Rocco and Falvine. Meanwhile Garver's batting .091 so far this spring.
