A lot of the Twins better prospects go straight from AA to the majors. Wade has over 500 ABs at AA with more BB than SO, I'd say he's likely ready for a major league call-up.

I keep seeing that as a post. Yet, I have yet to see anyone post even a single example. Miguel Sano did. Randy Rosario out of total desperation last year. He was not what I would consider a top prospect. That was an utter disaster. Last one before that I can think of off the top of my head is Eric Milton, and that was 20 years ago. Kepler didn’t. Buxton didn’t. Berrios didn’t.

Also, there is zero evidence that the current decision makers follow that philiosophy as a general rule.

Buxton was in fact called up to MLB from AA. He was later sent back to AAA.

Kennys Vargas, Chris Parmelee, and Joe Benson were originally called up from AA too.

I tend to think the prospect has to be elite, or the season has to be lost, to skip AAA, which doesn't bode well for an early season call up for Wade.

Polanco was.  Two years in a row, I believe.

While this is true, he had about 20 PAs between those two years in the majors. He didn't get extensive playing time in the majors until he had 400 PAs at AAA.

Left, right, who cares if he can hit?

Molitor seems to and the problem has been augmented with the DL stints of RH Buxton and RH Sano. If they were healthy and in the lineup... the left handed thing wouldn't matter as much because the Right Handers would be there for balance.

Maybe later for Wade or Granite or Cave but right now... We are sorely in need of RH hitters. Otherwise the other team will be providing a steady diet of lefty relievers to face our steady diet of Left Handers.

Bottom line... This is on the front office for not bringing in more Right Handed Bats for better balance.

Silly. The starting hitters face the starter two or three times. They face a relief pitcher once or twice. Worrying about one at bat, versus the certain earlier ones is bad math. Plus, defense. Plus running

These last two nights should be a reminder that Robbie Grossman can hit at the major league level.  He is a valuable bench bat.

Why he suddenly developed a phobia of catching baseballs I have no idea.  Let's hope that is in the past.

He's still too up and down for me. The last 11 games (14 day split) were good, but then the last 4 (7 day split) have been bad.

Obviously these are small sample sizes to look at but LoMo's numbers for both splits are miles better.

Only comparing because they both started badly. I'm still on the "done with him train" until he starts being what we're used to seeing on a way more consistent basis. If he can't do that then he has no value to the team because he already shouldn't be playing defense.

Parmelee, Vargas and Benson had quite the major league careers.

Now hitting .219 with a .624 OPS while playing almost entirely DH. I would kill for 2006 Jason Tyner right now. What are we clinging to?

He has literally never struck out while hitting lefty against a lefty pitcher.

Yeah, I got nothing either.

The Twins  are a team of hope.  They hope that the Ribbie Grossman of 2016  will  appear. Not only that, there is  the return of the LoMo of 2917 the Byron Buxton of the second half of last year,  as well as any semblances of a Sano.  So much to hope for that there is paralysis  as to what may be hopeless seasons. Fear not, they did move on from the Hughes of 2014. What will be the next
