USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I come to the game thread with a heavy heart tonight. My friend Sal, who used to meet me for a beer most every afternoon, passed away yesterday. We had a deal...we both loved baseball soooo much, and we wondered whether there would be baseball in heaven. Our deal was, the first to die would come back and tell the other if there was baseball or not. Well, I got a visit from Sal this afternoon. "I have good news, and bad news, my friend," he told me. "The good news is, there IS baseball in heaven. The bad news is...you and I have box seat tickets to take in a doubleheader this Sunday." ashbury, Halsey Hall, glunn and 1 other 4
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Paraza just having a monster night. 8 in a row. Hard to believe isn’t it
gocgo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 During this 8 game losing streak, the Twins have given up 71 runs. 71! That's almost 9 a game. Go ahead and score 8 boys. We are still gonna lose more than we win giving up that many runs. Plus, when you lose 8 in a row, to make that up, you either have to win 8 in a row or win 28 of your next 40 or something like that. glunn 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Welp. We're about to lose 8 in a row, three to the Rays, one to Cincy. Not great at all. glunn 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Let’s all laugh because the reds are only going to have 5 wins for about 20 minutes longer

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Not even a marney appearance could make me feel better at this point
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Last season the Twins were a below .500 team with a bad run differential for nearly 2/3 of the season. They got hot at the right time and faced poor competition for the second wildcard spot.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Votto, who everyone brings up every time I complain about Mauer, has swung at the first pitch twice tonight. HR, double. Danchat 1

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Any guesses on whether this losing streak hits double digits? I think it's a 50-50 proposition now.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 One week ago tonight we were one out away from a 2 game “win streak”
gocgo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Trevor Hangingcurver for what I hope will be his last appearance of the year.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Trevor Hangingcurver for what I hope will be his last appearance of the year.We have quite a few pitchers right now that fit that 'hope will be his last appearance' category ... Hughes, Duffy, Hildenburger ... and who do we have to take their places?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 What the heck is up with Hildy. Went from being a legit late inning option to an AAAA reliever. Danchat 1

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Wonder how much of a say Justin has on roster moves. Going to guess not much. However, the reasoning of giving Hughes starts because he should get a chance to prove himself is wrong. He has faced two of the worst lineups in the league and got rocked.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 It’s tough to go 0-4 with 2 sac flies like tucker Barnhart has done
