Joe Mauer told me that Phil told him that he was really bothered by your reaction to his comment which he claims was taken out of context by the reporter. 

 

As a result... he over compensated on the mound and it caused an injury to his shoulder. 

All I know is I'm happy Denard Span was shut down

I don't want to be insensitive because I really hope the guy is alright. 

 

But... Some guy in Mandan, North Dakota is missing. This is triggering a Civil Emergency Alert across North Dakota. Every time my cell phone buzzes with the announcement... My TV goes out which I assume is happening because Midco Cable is trying to broadcast the announcement but they haven't figured out how to do it seemlessly. 

 

So my TV just goes black for about a minute where the announcement should be... and it's because a Guy is missing in Mandan. 

 

Anyway... In a nutshell... I missed the Sano At-Bat.

Well that was an eventful inning...

I think I told all of you the other day, I usually stop at the same little neighborhood bar and have a beer on my way home from work. Well, Friday, as I was sitting there...just me and the barkeep, these two rather jolly fellows walk in, sit down at the bar, and order a Guinness each.

 

Time goes by, and the barkeep and I can't help but overhear their conversation. It's evident they're from Ireland by their accents, and the conversation gets more and more interesting as they go. 

 

"Where you from then?" says one.

 

"Ireland, of course, same as you"

 

It goes on and on like this, and amazingly, they're from the same town, and then I learn from the same part of that town, then the same street, and eventually the exact same address.

 

They leave, and I look at the barkeep and mention how awesome that was. Two guys meet in a bar, and they had lived at the same address, in Ireland no less.

 

"It's not really that awesome," he says. "That's the Murphy twins. Drunk again."
