clutterheart Verified Member Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Well per the 3/19 Spring Training roster: If that Fort Myers roster is their opening roster, that would mean the org is really pushing some prospects.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 The rosters don't include the players in major league camp, or a few recent sent-downs. So, there will be lots of shuffling. Shows the abundance of pitchers the Twins do have. Offense names will be shuttled backwards as final rosters are set. Be interesting to see if Royce does start at Ft. Myers or Cedar Rapids. The Twins have more than 65 pitchers right now for roughly 50 spots - not counting those already on the DL.

Clear Lake Twinsfan Verified Member Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Bob, how do the work groups look now after the last round of cuts from Twins camp? Have there been any players released from minor league camp?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Bob, how do the work groups look now after the last round of cuts from Twins camp? Have there been any players released from minor league camp? There have been several cuts over the past week or so. Levi Michael is one off the top of my head.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Three more: Michael Theofanopoulos, Austin Bizzle and Taylor Clemensia.

ashbury Verified Member Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Yeah, don't get in a tizzle over your BizzleI was referring to Theofanopoulizzle, one of the Twins' biggest names ever.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Here is the Rochester roster from their PR department (I can see a couple of incorrect things btw) :
Gagne Fan Provisional Member Posted March 28, 2018 Author Posted March 28, 2018 Matt Magill will be in the bullpen
AZTwin Verified Member Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Interesting that Brent Rooker was listed first as coming soon. He must have just missed the cut
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Interesting that Brent Rooker was listed first as coming soon. He must have just missed the cut With Stassi and Vargas at 1B in Rochester, Rooker might skip that stop...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 If you actually go to the Red Wings website they don't have Gordon in there ... wonder if Gordon will start in AA and move up mid-season? I, personally, think Gordon should be up there to start the season. But then I don't think any of the minor league rosters are finalized yet.

You are right, finial rosters won't be released until sometime next week. Websites will get updated then.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 You are right, finial rosters won't be released until sometime next week. Websites will get updated then. They have updated a bit, though, as their roster shows Vargas there, as a DH, and it shows Granite there and the RP that were sent there (like Duffey), so, there have been updates ... just not final. But then it still shows Levi Michael, and he was on my list of released players. (Eh, maybe that was wrong.) So ... until next week I'll take it all as a maybe but not yet.

John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Should be a fun pitching staff to follow, not so sure about the hitters.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 There's no reason Nick Gordon shouldn't be on this team.
goulik Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Should be a fun pitching staff to follow, not so sure about the hitters. Im intrigued by 8 Pitchers on the listIm intrigued by only 1 position player
South Dakota Tom Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 There's no reason Nick Gordon shouldn't be on this team. As someone mentioned on another thread, it seems pretty clear that Gordon and Gonsalves are slated for Chattanooga to play in warmer weather the first month. In case of an emergency need, they could well be first starter and first position player up and are most in need of consistent playing time to ensure their readiness (as opposed to Granite, for instance, who is ready, or Kennys). I don't know how that argument fits with Romero at AAA.
