Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Busenitz has been lights out! Too bad the offense has gone dormant.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Dick was not impressed with Kepler's AB. His tone sounded like I sound to myself when Mauer takes two strikes in an RBI situation.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Man, Kepler has been a heap of dung recently. 10 for his last 56 since August 21
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I am so sick of seeing josh Donaldson.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 wasn't that grounder by Donaldson exactly where a short stop would set up in a straight away normal position?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Getting worked by a last place club. Angels winning too. Looking like a good night.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 So...about that Angels game
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Two shifts in a row that would have been two outs - the grounder maybe a double play. Instead........ Could have been out of the inning.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Well, that two hits this inning that wouldn't have been hits if infielders had been playing where God intended!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Another should have been DP.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Brutal. Looked like Kepler was doing a light jog coming in on that ball.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Wow. Another failed shift. Maybe no more shifting today?
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Twins' shift looking like it shouldn't have an "f" in it.
Jerr Verified Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 5-1, its all on those drunk pub crawlers, but there is time to turn this around or get soooo wasted they have no clue as to where they are, provided they even crawled their way into Target Field. 6-1 as I finish typing so 2 Circus Boy updates in one post...........
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Don't let this fluky inning distract you from the fact that the twins have scored 31 runs in their last 7 games, 16 came on Tuesday.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Hildenberger did well. If no shifting, no runs. The manager/management did this to him. Hildenberger did what he does, and get the ground balls (well, one easy pop up for a second baseman). Another one on the manager trying to be too smart and sabr shifting.

It was bad luck, but really, 1 run in 7 innings in a playoff race against Marco Estrada ain't gonna cut it
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 About shifting: I assume that they base their defensive positioning and shifting on average batter tendencies. But are they taking into account the propensity and ability of the batter to change his tendency when the shift is applied? It seems like there must be players that, even though they hit to the left side most of the time, shouldn't be shifted because as soon as you shift they will hit the ball to the open position. Imagine what Rod Carew would have done to a shift...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 It's hard to listen to the telecast when Dick is acting the way he is
