Puckett34 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Man, Bert is really on the decline this year. Can't say names, can't recognize pitches anymore. You could say he's got an inside out commentary on the game.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Hard to believe we held the lead an inning ago
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 It's almost like Busenitz is better than every pitcher that was used before him. Who would have figured?

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 It's almost like Busenitz is better than every pitcher that was used before him. Who would have figured? Maybe paul needed to find that out the hard way

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Tale of the 8th inning: Twins get their leadoff hitter on base, in Mauer, a slow runner. Then they sac bunt. Royals get their leadoff hitter on base, in Cain, a slow runner (banged up right now ).They pinch run for him and save the out.

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Everybody but Molitor, it appears. As complicated as we all make the game out to be oft-times, sometimes it's really pretty simple, isn't it- just get your best player on the mound or in the batters box and let them do what they do best.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I wish I could say the Angels are losing 53-5, but that game is only 1-0 in the early innings.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Molitor's contributions tonight: 2 lost baserunners, 5 pitchers in one inning, 2 wasted outs with sacrifice bunts. I can't wait till he's gone.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Can't wait for Molly's explanation of that sh1t show. He'll never top Gardy for post-game pusillanimity.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 IMO having Pressly take the 8th and Busenitz the 9th (in theory) is not a bad idea - bringing in Boshers and Duffey were the big mistakes that sealed this one. Those two should not be pitching in any close games.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I feel uneasy about relying on Bart tomorrow

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Also let's not forget that apparently Mitch Garver is the best pinch hitting option on this team.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Molitor's contributions tonight: 2 lost baserunners, 5 pitchers in one inning, 2 wasted outs with sacrifice bunts. I can't wait till he's gone. I'm one who criticized the move from the day he was retained by Pohlad, but I never thought a manager could so single-handedly screw up a team's playoff chances by doing the same stupid stuff over and over. Whatever by-the-book manual Mollie's using, time for the bench coach to burn it- TONIGHT!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Also let's not forget that apparently Mitch Garver is the best pinch hitting option on this team.lol yeah, that was lost in the sauce, but equally head scratching
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 And I fall to .500. But that still keeps me in the playoff race.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Also let's not forget that apparently Mitch Garver is the best pinch hitting option on this team.Adrianza, gimenez, garver, goodrum and Vargas and he went with garver
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 And our leader, the ball scratching lead off hitter, checks in with an oh for 5 and the last out. Let's get 'em tomorrow! 3 out of 4 would be peachy.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 And I fall to .500. that's a lot of math http://archure.net/p/BushMath2.jpg
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I feel uneasy about relying on Bart tomorrow What's changed since July 9?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 IMO having Pressly take the 8th and Busenitz the 9th (in theory) is not a bad idea - bringing in Boshers and Duffey were the big mistakes that sealed this one. Those two should not be pitching in any close games.I don't mind Pressly in that situation. Awful execution though. Almost K's Cain on an 0-2 curve, then for some reason he and Castro decide an 0-2 FB is just the ticket. Base hit. Then a four pitch walk, and the inning is long gone.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Adrianza, gimenez, garver, goodrum and Vargas and he went with garverOr leave Kepler in, but yeah best bet was prob Adrianza
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Adrianza, gimenez, garver, goodrum and Vargas and he went with garver Wondering about that myself. Hunch or Math? Indiana?Arko?Anybody...?

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 He'll never top Gardy for post-game pusillanimity. pusillanimity [pyoo-suh-luh-nim-i-tee] late Middle English: from ecclesiastical Latin pusillanimis (translating Greek olugopsukhos ), from pusillus ‘very small’ + animus ‘mind,’ + -ous. I had to look that up.Great word. Now I can agree. Gardenhire was the king.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I'm still waiting to see what this "Alan Boshers" guy stuff is like....
