Chief is going to have to go to Mount Doom and throw his premature chicken dinner picutre into it to prevent game disaster.  It should not be too much of a problem, since he and Sauron went to school together during the First Age.

Mauer over the last 9 games: 8 starts (sat vs Boyd), 18-36 (and 2 walks) with 7 multi-hit games. I've also see him swing at the first pitch at least twice. Raised his average from 277 to 290. It's unlikely, but it sure would be nice to see him get up to 300 by the end of the season.
