ashbury Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Nice routine night at the office for Buxton.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 That was definitely a home run that he robbed there. Way to find the wall first and time his leap. Especially nice because Encarnacion stood admiring if for about 3 seconds before leaving the batters box.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Busenitz has closer stuff. Not sure he has the mental capacity yet. He also needs to improve his command a bit, evidenced by that meatball. But the stuff is very good. Before the game he had a swinging strike percentage about 5%. Pretty hittable
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 On the strikeout pitch to Mauer, the catcher set up inside, and then moved outside at the last minute. Wonder if Kepler was signaling for the inside pitch from second when he saw the set up,Used to be a recipe for a fastball buzzed under somebody's chin. That remedy is frowned on nowadays. But in any case, if the baserunner can see the catcher, the catcher can see the baserunner; you can't get away with signaling for long

spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 And Dicknbert were wondering who would be taken out of the bullpen if Perkins is activated... ashbury 1

Darius Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 That's what happens when have you have Buddy Boshers throwing high leverage innings in a playoff chase.
gocgo Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Ugh...got back from vacation, turned on the Twins, watched a Buxton highlight...and then got BosheeeeeereD. When you're a loogy, ya better get the the lefties out or at least make them swing the bat. Why Molly left him in there is beyond me.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Before the game he had a swinging strike percentage about 5%. Pretty hittableI think that's a command issue. He's not yet capable of hitting his spots consistently. But he's got an upper 90s fastball and a biting breaking ball.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Might as well scoreboard watch Angels: lostKC: winning 3-0 in the first Seattle: losing 1-0 in the first Baltimore: winning 1-0 in the firstTampa: winning 6-4 in the 9th Riverbrian 1
GardyParty Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Boom! You can clearly see the advantage Cleveland has in team and game management in this game. They have done their scouting to a tee. They simply ate up Boshers. The steal by a snail speed baserunner was even more terrible than the 3 run homer. Edited August 16, 2017 by GardyParty

drock2190 Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Indians pitchers just achieved 12 straight games with 10+ strikeouts... When was the last time a Twins staff had two in a row?

GardyParty Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Got to tip the ol tattered twins hat to the competition tonight. Danny Salazar is tuff
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 That's what happens when have you have Buddy Boshers throwing high leverage innings in a playoff chase. What I don't understand is if you are willing to pull Booze out of the game with nobody on base and 2 outs for Boshers to face the left......then why do you allow Boshers to face a righty after failing to do his job against the lefty? You either have to let Booze finish the inning, or pull Boshers immediately after he walked Bruce, it makes no sense otherwise. jun, wsnydes, USAFChief and 2 others 5
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 And Dicknbert were wondering who would be taken out of the bullpen if Perkins is activated...The timing of the discussion was hardly coincidental, although the immediacy of the longball perhaps was.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I am at peace with this lossWe used Busenitz, Boshers, and now Enns and we had started Bartolo vs SalazarNot a good chance of winning this one in the first place Hosken Bombo Disco 1

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I see Enns is in the game. With the day off are we just skipping him in the rotation then with the off day yesterday? I turned the game off before Jackson's ball had landed, so forgive me if they answered the question already
GardyParty Verified Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Anyone else scoreboard watching? Giancarlo Stanton with his 8th homer in the past 9 games. Good lord! It really sucks that a team with all that young talent lost their ace pitcher and one of the top 3 in the league ast year. Jose Fernandez
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Indians are also winning.I think august 15 is the date that you're allowed to check other scores. Although I've been doing it since before the ASB ashbury 1
