This defense is a huge factor in this team's surprising success this season. It's great to see Sano having a solid year defensively.

Bert made a good point about Buxton.  The old Buxton sits back and waves at that slider.  The new Buxton kept his hands back, shortened his swing and put good contact  on it.  Yes, it was an out, but that's progression as a hitter.

 

On another note, Salazar is filthy tonight.

I have always mixed those two up.  You would think with the Twins playing them so many times every year I would get it down, but nope.  Not yet.

Busenitz's second pitch to Zimmer was a 100% strike to me. MLB.com shows it was an obvious strike as well.

That fly ball is a perfect example of why Rosario's defensive numbers don't look good this year. Both could have caught it but Buxton did so Rosario gets dinged for that.
