Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 What happens with Gibson where he just turns to mush?
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Really don't like this Gibby vs. Upton matchup
GardyParty Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Paul Molitor with a huge manager fail there Good lord a deaf dumb and blind person could tell that Gibson is done
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Another 4+ innings of bullpen work needed. Recipe for success
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Paul Molitor with a huge manager fail there Good lord a deaf dumb and blind person could tell that Gibson is doneHe can't pull every pitcher who struggles before the end of the fifth because, in case you haven't noticed, the Twins rotation is more than a little bit sketchy. jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I'm not keen on Pressly after Gibson. Too similar, Pressly is like Gibson plus 3 mph, but with a little less command. We'll see.

I would have left him in if Cabrera wasn't coming up. Not after the BP was stretched yesterday
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Mark me as one that definitely didn't want to see Pressly here...........
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Ha, did you see Mixed Drink Miggy's reaction of despair?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I'll take that pop-out any day from Miguel Cabrera.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Molitor's growing confidence in his bullpen lately has led to a quick hook. So far it is working.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 We need about 5 more runs probably .......
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Runs please...dont think 5 wins this Puckett34 and jimbo92107 2

GardyParty Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 There are enough interchangeable parts - players in AAA right now to call up and plug into this bullpen. There are no superstars, no cannot miss players. The twins traded their best reliever and the bullpen didnt even hiccup.Molitor needs to control these games, pull these guys at anytime. Alex Wimmers, Drew Rucinski, Michael Tonkin, John Curtiss... all these guys can be called up to take roster spots. The 10 day DL is utilized for roster flexibility nowadays anyways. Mill1634 1
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Pressly effectiveI feel much better about Pressly starting a clean inning than answering the fire bell. He's got stopper stuff, but his command has been inconsistent. Puckett34 and h2oface 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 So RISPy PDX Twin and Dozier's Glorious Hair 2
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Impressive growth by Brian Dozier. He has improved his oppo approach so well that it has now become a legitimate threat. At some point teams must reconsider shifting him to left field. Dozier's Glorious Hair 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Even the tigers telecast gets in on the Menard's love
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Oddly, the one guy whose hitting approach isn't improving much is...Joe Mauer. His efforts to pull inside pitches usually result in either a two hopper to 2B or a dribbler to 1B. He still has oppo power, but not as much as in previous years. Shifts are taking away a lot of oppo hits now, and his pull hitting isn't working. GardyParty 1
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Okay, threaders ... it's time to step up ... yeah, Aggies, I'm looking at you ... and everyone else ... four dates remain for August ... 17, 26, 30 and 31 ... Chief and I will await your PM's.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Ha, I was waiting to see Hildenberger's 3/4 fastball. There it was at 94 mph, for strike 3. Nice. No serious movement, but it's a surprise strike. I'm liking this young man.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Stop screwing around here. jimbo92107 1
