h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Was grossman walking the bases, or? Grossman is sooooo slow.... and got thrown out at the plate yesterday trying to score from second. Not even close. At least this time it doesn't hurt us. He just loves to walk.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Sano has 4 strikeouts today. That's amazing. Golden sombrero!!!!!
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Great. Kintzler lock down.... has the benefit of the shadow, too...
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Great. Kintzler lock down.... has the benefit of the shadow, too... But this knocks Kintzler out for tomorrow, I presume. And we are behind... Of course, if Colon starts tomorrow we'll likely be so far behind we won't need him.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Great. Kintzler lock down.... has the benefit of the shadow, too...Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of Kintzler--'s pitches...
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Way too many pitches. Guess we won't see him at Dodger Stadium on Monday. Good job Kintzler. Smart, Molitor......
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 But then.... look at this pen! Maybe they get another mediocre arm and go with only 2 bench..... Kintzler.... our stud.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 But then.... look at this pen! Maybe they get another mediocre arm and go with only 2 bench..... Pretty disappointing to have 8 arms in the pen and a guy on the mound who is out of gas.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Pretty disappointing to have 8 arms in the pen and a guy on the mound who is out of gas. Hell.... why not go with 9.... or 10? Who needs a bench when you have guys like Breslow! You only need Gimenez on the bench! He can even pitch!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Left the game 20 minutes ago, not regretting it,
drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 If this series is any indication the Twins are going to get annihilated in LA.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 3 pitchers from the bullpen should be here next year. That's it. And maybe not even 3
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Rally in the bottom of the ninth! If you are going to set the record for your longest 9 inning came, may as well win it.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 We can only hope that a good thing that might come from this is that it could finally be the end of the line for Craig Breslow.
jun Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Breslow and Duffey definitely tried their best to make sure all their inherited runners to score.
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I would guess that the Twins won't get to their hotel until late tonight, and will be tired tomorrow. And not much bullpen will be available. Maybe they should fly someone in from Rochester?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Kershaw pulled after 2 scoreless innings as back stiffened...... damn. I hope he is OK. I hate to see the best in the game get hurt, and have to sit out.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Falvey is a joke so far, this bullpen is awful. Molitor is a terrible manager as well, this game was typical Molly. Can't wait for the Dodgers to sweep us so they can trade dozier and Santana for poor returns. Sometimes hiring the cheapest GM isn't the best idea.....
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 That's a start. Dozier loves to hit solo home runs. Hey... they always count.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 What's 5 in a row in a game called?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 We watched a record. That is ........ something.
jun Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Duffey should be sent down and Breslow should be released. Busenitz should be called up.

And not much bullpen will be available. Maybe they should fly someone in from Rochester? I'm normally not this guy but I think Breslow should be released so you can call Vargas back up because the Dodgers will probably throw two left-handers at us. I'd also like to see Buxton back. Calling up a bullpen arm is like replacing the fodder in the cannon. The bullpen should not have been gassed. We had an off day on Thursday and a decent start by Gibson.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Hey if the bullpen comes in and does their job and provides, relief, they are never gassed. When they suck, they throw too many pitches, and are always gassed. When your starters are not that great at best, the bullpen can still get you into the World Series. Smart GMs have been paying attention and collecting 7-8-9th inning forces. KC changed the game. Surely the new FO team is paying attention, right?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 BTW... If I had bought a ticket to that game. I'd be demanding a refund. The Twins were sub par across the board and the Tigers were par at best. It was a horrible game to watch. I'm gonna take a shower. I feel dirty after watching that game.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Since the break, the pattern is Lose/Win/Lose/Win/Lose/Win/Lose/Win/Lose..... no streaks, no two loses in a row...... sooooooo....... we take Monday and Wednesday at Dodger Staduim! Too bad for Berrios. And that means Colon wins a game? Ha. I would bet on the win coming Tuesday. Patterns don't last forever.
