Correction: Zack Granite numbers

This is legitimately one of the worst pitching staffs I've ever seen. It's a miracle this team's record is so average.

Not just average, but one that has spent 50 days in first place.

I'm not sure what I did to anger Corey Provus, but for the second consecutive day he tried to deliberately force me off the road while I was driving home listening to the Twins broadcast.

Tonight during the rain delay tonight he did so by opining that a rain-shortened start from Hector 'Meat' Santiago would be nearly as costly to the Twins as one from A.L. top 10-ish Drew Pomeranz would be to the Red Sox.

Last night it was wondering aloud what's wrong this year with struggling 9th-in-AL-starter-WAR Boston pitcher Rick Porcello.

I like Corey's work a lot, but... stop with the attempted vehicular mayhem already.

Did Jack really just suggest the Twins would need to trade someone to call up Granite?

Seems like a rather bold move.

Pomeranz probably started tossing 4 hours ago and our boys are still hacking and missing at his fastball

Well if I'm still awake, I'll try to tune back when Giminez pitches...

How many arms in the pen do we all hope are still with us next year? Like 2?

One if they convert Duffey to a starter and trade Kintzler, and Rogers doesn't start pitching like his xFIP says he will.

I think they'll shop Eddie R.

That would make me sad, but...

This is simply excruciating

The sad part is that you wrote that before Dozier's Messi booting of the ball into left field.

And don't forget sending down Kepler or Buxton, moves which are all that much more astonishing for a team that's guarded Breslow like he's testifying against the mafia.

Granite's a nice story, but if they rearrange things to accommodate a 25 year old OF with no power because his BABIP is a hundred points over his career average in 200 AB's, then we'll know that this new administration is dying to give metrics a wedgie just as much as the last.

At this point every good Belisle outing is just sort of banking another future meltdown or two as the Twins' reluctance to let him go increases.

Gawd--  I just saw Blaine "Inherited Runners Scored" Boyer pitching on the gameday, and visibly shuddered.

Then I realized he's a Red Sock now.... whew....!

I'm going to just stop watching us play the AL east :banghead:

The nice thing about remembering the thrashings the Twins received from the Yankees in the Gardy era is that they made this effort against the Red Sox look like a nail-biter.

Blaine Boyer... the middle relief equivalent of the woman you talk to for five minutes at your 25th high school class reunion before you remember that you went on a date with her your junior year.
