Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 It's too bad they optioned Gee to AAA yesterday 'cause they're going to need him today. Oh well, at least that means we'll likely get to see Busenitz and Hildenberger again.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 This game is sooooo going to be rain delayed in about fifteen minutes, as of now.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 That would be a waste of money and a risk of an expensive lawsuit. That only depends on how you treat them. Though admittedly, it might still be a waste of money.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 You know, if you got a little busy for a couple of days, and didn't bother to follow the rotation, wouldn't it be nice to check in and see who's pitching and say, "Oh, it's 'Santiago' today," instead of "Oh, my God..." well, you said it better than me...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 The rain delay is brought to you by LL Bean.... At least NESN says so.

Whammy Verified Member Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 I was surprised they bothered to start the game. It seemed pretty obvious from the radar that another round of rain was coming. Now both teams' bullpens are messed up. Nice job Fenway meteorologist.

At least NESN says so.FoxSports has indicated the rain delay is sponsored by Chevrolet. That effing truck commercial has played 5 times already. If I hear "oh snap" one more time, I'm going to lose it.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 I will now recommend the MyRadar app for Windows 10.If rain's gonna look this good, then baby...bring the rain.

LL Bean is perhaps mildly more tasteful. Just on every digigtally created on-screen banner. Which was a little tacky when there were more than 2 of them. But it is also printed on the infield tarp, "keeping sox dry since 1912" which is kinda cool.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 In many respects a rainout here is the best outcome.

My recollection of a few hours ago was that it wasn't a solid line, but spots here and there, and could have missed Fenway. But of course weather is smarter than we give it credit for.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 In many respects a rainout here is the best outcome.I can think of better outcomes. But i admit they might be much much less likely, than the worse outcomes. However this is a road game so i wouldn't count them out yet.

Unless it's played in Puerto Rico.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 Hmmm. If it gets rescheduled to a day game tomorrow or the next, How difficult might it be to score tickets... This bares looking into.
