ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 In honor of our host, who hails from BostonSomerville, I thought. / which is somewhat like Edina versus Minneapolis, but around here it apparently matters more
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 well, you don't smoke, so it's not much of a ruse. That bar of Ivory Soap rolled up in my shirt sleeve didn't fool anyone, did it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 If he doesn't break his bat. That ball would have landed by the Kirby Puckett statue.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 That bar of Ivory Soap rolled up in my shirt sleeve didn't fool anyone, did it.Nope. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Little bleeder by Vargas but that was a strong-man hit getting enough on the ball with a broken bat to get through the infield.
DrNeau Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 LOL Castro complains at umpires more than anyone I've ever seen.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Gotta tag and go there. I'm watching the A's broadcast and they said the same thing.
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Gotta tag and go there. I'm watching the A's broadcast and they said the same thing.Gladden echoed the same on radio.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I'm really, really not a fan of Mauer coming up after Sano.Well if he doesn't, someone's going to get called out for batting out of order.
DrNeau Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Gotta tag and go there. I'm watching the A's broadcast and they said the same thing.Yeah but Mauer is "taking things slow" and "not trying to do too much" out there.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I'm really, really not a fan of Mauer.FTFM. Fixed That For Me.
David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 The unwritten GametThread into.0. If you weren't paging attention, i cleverly left the word rules out of the title so it would actually be unwritten. I actually thought that sufficient as the entire intro, but would have understood if Chief and ChiTown disagreed.1. No one can be told about the GameThread. You have to choose. Take the blue pill to continue on down the rabbit hole (yes, the sign says Eat Me on it. Please don't be offended) or take the red pill to continue with your normal. Media coverage. What? they're both blue? That can mean only one thing... You are already in the GameThread... It isn't so bad once you get used to our...2. Hospitality. Yes, despite appearences, i consider us considerate folk. I think we're pretty good at making people feel welcome. But i then notice last night the Twins were hosting this group of ball players from the bay area out west. And whatwe do? we just blasted homerun after homerun off them. Was that what good host would do? Run up 9 on them and only let them score once? But then i thought we want the best from them. It is only natural to set the example. These next couple of games will be all the better for it. Which seems like a3 Conundrum. Which i like to pose. And why the concept of unwritten rules apeals to me. I still don't know why a Raven is like a Writing Desk, nor how a cook's brainpan is like an overwound clock. But that's one more thing that keeps me going. What conundrums do you like? Castro in the 6 hole? Opposing pitchers throwing inside fastballs to Dozier? Or not Walking Sano? Or Danny Santana?4 um... Deadlines. I am running a wee bit late. So i am just going to post this and lead 4 to the reader. 5 will then be extra credit.Worthy of Kilgore Trout.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Gladden echoed the same on radio.Mrs Ash offered the same view regarding Joe and she isn't even watching the game.
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Mauer is the hardest to strikeout in baseball.......only 1 outta 15 at bats, now if he could get more hits
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Mrs Ash offered the same view regarding Joe and she isn't even watching the game.I like her.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 LOL Castro complains at umpires more than anyone I've ever seen. It worked for Bobby Knight.
DrNeau Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Gladden echoed the same on radio. What did he say?
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Worthy of Kilgore Trout.Had to look that up, BUT you nailed it!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 What did he say?"Chief's right."
David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 And while we're on the subject-- Mauer "protecting" Sano... Castro STILL in the 6 hole.... Molly, fer cryin' out loud...... This team ain't goin to the promised land with that particular HOF'er in the dugout.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Yeah, but no.No, but yeah, actually.
