Sano suspended and McCann gets nothing? That's not right. Oh well, lots of things in life aren't fair. 

 

My son's first penalty ever in Hockey was when he got crosschecked from behind into the back of the net. He was trying to stand up and get out of the net when he got crosschecked back into the net. 

 

My Son got a roughing and after Mom heard the announcement on the PA that it was a roughing penalty. He got a lecture from his Mom on playing nice during the car ride home.

I have to admit, that double steal was maddening and cool at the same time.

I'm not sure what's worse.. getting off to a terrible start to the season and never getting any traction like last year or getting off to a great start, then sputtering out. I'm not sure there's much difference in the long run.

 

I like the young core of this team. It'll be great to watch when they all get going.

As a former catcher I will just say that you're more likely to get the guy taking 2nd.

The Twins just do not have the core of players in the batting order to string together enough consecutive great at bats to threaten other teams. It all makes for boring baseball. Too many short half innings when the Twins bat.

And then factor in that Andrus runs 120 MPH and Gallo runs 6 MPH and Hughes took 2 minutes and 25 seconds to deliver the ball to the plate and 2nd isn't a bad option.
