Suspect he'll work out of the pen. I think the rotation at Rochester will be:

 

Berrios

Mejia

Wheeler

Tepesch

Rucinski

 

With Slegers in the mix somewhere, too.

 

I am pretty sure I saw Gonsalves is starting at AAA this year.  Unless his shoulder moved him to the DL?

He's throwing 3 innings tomorrow in the AAA or AA game vs. the BoSox, sounds like he'll stay in EXST for a little bit.  Romero is also slated to pitch as well as new Twin Paul Clemens in the AAA/AA game

TIBN said today during the exhibition game that he heard Slegers will be part of the rotation.

 

I suspect Rucinski might be relieving, or they'll get starts for all 6.

Did I miss something while reading about the Final 4? Was Mejia sent down to AAA?

I'd say Berrios, Hurlbut, Slegers, Tepesch and Wheeler...

I'm OK with that. Sooner, rather than later, Berrios will be up and someone, probably Gonsalves, will be up to take his place. And before the year is done we're going to see others promoted from AA and room for them as Slegers and Wheeler would be the only "locks" I'd see.

 

I have ask, Seth, if Gonsalves hadn't had his little setback during spring, do you think he'd be at Rochester to begin the season?

I doubt it. He only had a dozen starts in Chattanooga and early in the season, it's about numbers. 

 

For now, he's just trying to get stretched out before joining the Lookouts in mid-April.
