Twins Sign Paul Clemens

Clemens threw an inning of relief (8th) today in the AA game vs the BoSox.  His fastball was 94-96 mph and he snapped a couple of good breaking balls, in one innings, no hits, no runs, no walks, two strikeouts.  He's still so new that he doesn't have a jersey number.

 

Talked to him afterwards, he was 88-90 before the Padres let him go as he was battling thru shoulder tendonitis and kept pitching as he said he felt his roster spot was secure.  Needless to say that didn't happen, it definitely wants to prove Preller and the Padres wrong and looks to have a chip on his shoulder
