My wife and I took our dogs and foster baby on a walk today for a couple miles. I was in shorts and a polo. In South Dakota. On November 1st.

This fall has been insane from a weather perspective. It's still 90 degrees consistently down here in Austin. My brother still living in Minneapolis has sent pictures of him golfing in late October. 

Yet they say down here it's going to be a colder winter than normal. I'll believe it when I see it.

Cubs fans are nuts around here. The Cubs have always been my second favorite team by far, dating back to the wgn days as a kid. Also, Chief Wahoo needs to be eradicated. Go Cubs. Schwarber batting second is smart here.

Yeah ... that last part, pretty much. I don't really care. It's only a game. But by saying I'm cheering on Cleveland, I get to play the contrarian, and I like that.

I heard a factoid on the radio this morning that Cleveland was 28th in attendance this season, ahead of only Oakland and Tampa Bay. And it's an easy drive from Chicago to Cleveland.

You know, I've mostly enjoyed this series, but it really hasn't been that great, you know.  Just hasn't been overly exciting.
