That's horrible.  Obviously, he was a great talent but to die at 24?  He was just a kid.  Prayers for him and his family.

Unbelievably sad. Never knowing the kid, still made me misty in the eyes. Seemed like a very likeable young man. Really stunning.

What a horrific, abrupt ending to a great success story. The kid and his mother went through so much to make it to this country to have the opportunity to create a dream for themselves.

 

That dream was seemingly an unstoppable train and in the blink of an eye... it is all gone.

Obviously it's most sad for his friends and family but I found it a big loss for baseball fans to lose such a bright light in the game so young. Pitchers like him don't come along every day. And then to have Dee Gordon hit a home run in the first game after that...just amazing.
