Is it just me, or does anyone else have an irrational fear that a UFO overflight will distract Buxton from a fly ball and cause him to get conked on the melon like that Mets center fielder did?

For no particular reason, I've always liked Jay Bruce's game, and even though I would have rather seen him come to a competitive Twins team at the deadline than struggle with the Mets, at least he got out of CInci and has a good shot at the playoffs.

 

Plus I love that ELO song... 'Brrruce!  Don't bring me down!'

It's been so long since I've seen a pitching duel go through the 5th I'm not sure what to do.  Is this normal?

Centeno is looking a lot better behind the plate. I'd like to see him continue as the backup for next season.

 

Makes sense, with either Murphy or Garver to share time. Not a star, but we aren't going to get a star catcher anyway.

Forgetting you ever saw it could prove helpful if you plan on watching any more Twins games this year...oh, hell, who are we trying to kid... and next year too.

Well, this is quite a story. It would be something if stem cell treatment could replace more of these surgeries.

 

 

I'd prefer that to the competing pathway to limb repair...

Polanco is still hitting. I have to say, I've been quite impressed with him. He's not Dozier (who is?), but he's a very competent major leaguer from day one. That's great to see.
