twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 This may have been asked in another thread, but why don't you see players wearing those "Power Necklaces" any more? Were they just a fad, or did they not "work"?Venice Beach called, needed them back. Platoon 1
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Pitching coach to the mound, bullpen warming up. Thanks, pitching coach guy who's name I can't remember!!

Platoon Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Even dumber than that... My buddy and I were trying to make nitroglycerin. The teacher wouldn't tell us how. twinssporto Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Keep Duffey in one more inning? Might not be a bad idea...maybe. Dozier's Glorious Hair 1
Dozier's Glorious Hair Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Dozier would have reached out and had his glove at thigh level and then showed to ump his glove, and Santana would have been safe. Correa keeps his glove low and makes the tag. I hope Dozier watches and learns. Might be too much to ask, though. "I don't think you talk about this nearly enough," said Sarcastic Guy. jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Bert has talked about it lots of times, and it's also true in tennis: If you want the ball to bite downwards, you have to punch your fingers over the ball at the release point. If you don't fire those finger missiles, the ball won't bite down. For instance, lots of people can swat a tennis serve very fast, but they have no idea why it sails flat and long. Opening up too soon and not jabbing your fingers are the two reasons the ball sails long. Same thing must be true with pitching. I wonder if Neil Allen just told Duffey that...

big dog Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I don't remember a Twins team ever having this many baserunning mistakes. Maybe I've just walled off that corner of my mind. Or maybe I'm old and I forget stuff, that could be it too. Nice inning here if Sano had stayed on second.
