dgwills Provisional Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 What? That was a catch. I'll take it though. Indians shouldn't be that mad. We all know they're giving up 10+ runs today
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 That last freeze frame showed the ball changing trajectory. Whether or not the glove was underneath...impossible to tell. But the ball definately bounced.
dgwills Provisional Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Yes!!! Have a good night Bauer
formerly33 Verified Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 make room to load the bases Better monitor their intake or those bases will need treatment before long.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Wow, this plate discipline is something I could get used to seeing. When does Gehrig come up in this Murderer's Row? Ryan gave Gehrig a look, but didn't think he fit what the team needed.
drivlikejehu Verified Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Definitely a catch, it bounced from the side of the glove into the webbing.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Things are surely changing for the Twins....
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Definitely a catch, it bounced from the side of the glove into the webbing. You can tell that? You must have a better TV than me. Or better eyes. There's that, too.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Tough to complain about ANYTHING that's gone on lately, but golly gee, sano has been ABYSMAL
dgwills Provisional Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I like that the Indians have to bring in pitchers from triple A. Talk about getting wrecked
crapforks Provisional Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Tough to complain about ANYTHING that's gone on lately, but golly gee, sano has been ABYSMALHe has good plate coverage and strike zone judgement/pitch recognition, he just seems to have fallen into a habit of checking his swing on Every. Single. Pitch. Bad habit.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I've probably told this story, but I was at the Big A that night when Niekro got ejected. 4th deck, between 1st and home. I could see the board fly out of his pocket from there.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I don't imagine that someone caught cheating like niekro would be given an appearance on the late show in 2016 pc America

crapforks Provisional Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I think all the check swings on bad pitches is in direct conflict with the idea he has good strike zone/pitch recognition. :-)Thats fair. I just don't remember him doing that as much last year. It looks to me like he's checking even when the ball is nowhere near the zone. I don't think he needs that much of a head start with his swing. At least I hope not.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Ya know, as crappy as it is that the Indians appeared to get the shaft on that catch, I don't feel all that bad. I've seen a number of pictures of the crowd from their games recently, and the support the (first place) team is getting is atrocious. Granted it's not a fancy new park and the bball team won earlier, but you gotta do better than 15k in August for a first place club.

You look at all the bad attendance teams this year and they can all be somewhat explained away....except Cleveland.

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Twins up 8 - 2. Shouldn't one of them be working on a 3 HR day??
