I know it is SSS, but Santana is o-fer against LHP. My amateur eye has always viewed Danny's RH hitting as weaker than the left.

Baseball Reference seems to agree with you.  Very small sample size.

Try your other eye next time... See if that helps him.

I'm probably just an old fart forgetting the bad and remembering only the good, but it seems to me the quality of baseball played today isn't up to the standards of my youth.  How do you get trapped of second on a ground ball to short?  That's little league stuff.

Santana needs to not play every day. Ugh.

Agreed. Taking his regular turn in the rotation should be sufficient.

Midwestern response to something you don't like.  Like Polanco getting tag out at 2nd.

Not to be an a$$, but that's literally the worst joke I've ever heard.

I believe you're right. Approximately 1,000 men will play in the big leagues this year. That is nearly double the number of players in 1959 when there were only 16 teams. (and you probably are an old fart?)

I'm not too worried about Polanco wandering too far off second on a grounder to short. All part of the learning process. Most rookies make a couple of those. It won't cost us the World Series this year.

Not to mention the well struck double he had off of Sale.

Yep - when teams had 3 AAA clubs and classifications went to D.

And players didn't come up to the big leagues until they knew how to play the game.
