alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Oh! I still think the TV crews are better at pulling up review footage than the NYC crew. Usually they have it dialed in one way or the other.
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Same goes for nfl reviews. I think fans usually have a better view than the refs. #balls/strikes
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 MLB's replay system does seem to work most of the time. Only a couple I've seen looked stupidly wrong.
Jham Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I really like the way Nunez takes professional at bats. I'm glad he's producing now that he's getting a chance. He's fun to watch, easy to cheer for, and representing well for the so called expendable replacement level veterans. stringer bell, PopRiveter, ashbury and 2 others 5
David HK Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Dah heck? We took a lead and did not immediately give it back? Are we trying hard enough to play Twinkie-ball, or what? ScrapTheNickname and Riverbrian 2

alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 That's my point though. There should never be a stupidly wrong. Just like I cannot abide by pitches right over the middle called as balls or pitches 8"outside called as strikes. It should not happen. Glad they got that one right though.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Wasn't it just a week ago it looked like Arcia had it figured out? Is he a head case or what? I vote "what" - as I really don't know. David HK 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 All the thrilling excitement of video challenge aside, and notwithstanding Park's good recovery to juggle and hold onto the ball, this play was an example of why I'm not completely totally 100% fully outright sold on Escobar as a defensively solid shortstop. alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Detwiler... yeah, there was no RPs available. Ugh.

DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I leave to go for dinner and we take the lead, nice
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I thought for sure Suzuki would hit a home run that time. / not really

Platoon Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Intentionally walking Joe Mauer to face Sano. Tis a strange world we live in, this 2016. That was a no brainer. Taking Nunez crazy BABIP out of the equation, Mauer is the only guy on this team to currently fear.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Author Posted April 26, 2016 OK Meyer Not in the Game So... This Means that Meyer was late arriving or... Molitor doesn't trust Meyer and Terry Ryan called him up for nothing. nicksaviking 1
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Is Meyer there? Or we can't pitch him in a tight game. Because God knows, with the talent in this pen, 16 inning games, etc we need another once a week guy back there David HK 1

DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 does anybody really know how a balk is called, really?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Danny Santana with the luckiest 15 minutes in the history of sports: 1. not charged with throwing error previous inning2. credited with base hit on clearly booted ground ball3. picked off first but ruled safe, survives a replay that showed pretty clear he was out4. awarded second base on a balk You can't make it up. Maybe he is the good luck charm the Twins need!Yeah that was pretty lucky. But the luckiest 15 minutes goes to the time Oris Nixon, the ugliest human ever, stole Sugar Ray Leonard's wife, Juanita.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Author Posted April 26, 2016 Some Umps just like to call balks because Well they just do Trying to increase the size of their footprint in the game is the only thing I can think of. Hosken Bombo Disco 1
