As Vice President of the "Baseball Player Positional Flexibility" club, I have ready kissed 11 babies this morning, had brunch, and helped judge some art for a community project. Well I'm off to a reception for a colleague's niece, so gotta go! Enjoy the game! Life as the vice president sure is taxing! Go Twins!

So far, gotta like how we're hanging in there. Just hope they don't ask Fien to get us out of any jams.

Circus Boy update: 1-1 after 5 and a half.

In honor of National Recycled Jokes Day...

A leather-wearing, tat-sporting biker walks into a bar carrying her jumper cables. "Get a bottle of Jack!" he barks. Bartender tells him, "Hey, I'll get it for ya, but don't be startin' anything."

ftfy

And quit telling jokes about me.

I'm in PA...and the old term would be that I'm a "groundskeeper", but we prefer "sports turf manager" ;) worked about 8 years in the Yankees minor league system and now I'm in charge at a university.

That sounds like a fun job. When I'm asked what would I like to be if not what I do, one of my pat answers is landscape architect. It's usually that or country-western singer.

I wonder what happens with Duffey? Can the Twins send him down and then DL him? Or does he stay with the MLB club on the DL? (with the way that ball hit Duffey, I would be surprised if Duffey avoids the DL.)

Northeastern part

With the Yankees Clue

I'm guessing that you are neighbors with Michael Scott or Dwight Schrute.

I've never been but the Poconos must be beautiful.

Yep, we certainly take our share of ribbing, and some is deserved, but overall it's a good place to live.

Fun but lots of hours. Seen more ball games than you could ever want to see.

Yeah, I get that. It all becomes a 'same ol, same ol' kinda things. I get that way about seeing/hearing yet another concert. But then you hear a really spectacular performance and it reminds you of your fortune in what you do.

I can change that if you ask nicely :)

How do you get the designs in the grass.

I'd like to do that in my yard but I really can't figure it out.

And a poorly constructed one

A Third Strike walks into a bar and says... "Give me a beer... And a James Joyce out call."

Will be interesting to see who Molitor pinch hits for the pitcher this inning.

If Kepler, Kepler can stay in game for Sano.

If Mauer, he can stay in game for Park.

All depends on what Buck does and how deep the inning gets into the lineup!

It's Mauer... And I hope he doesn't go into the game for Park.

Park will bat next inning if he doesn't

I don't get a warning point for asking an actual baseball question in a game thread, do I?

Question: At the trade deadline, the Twins are 6 or 7 games below .500.

Do you trade Mr. Mauer if he's still hitting the way he is? (ignoring the no-trade clause in his contract)

Or, is Park traded?

Dozier?

Yes... Yes you do

I just haven't gotten around to giving it to you.

It'll arrive in Bakersfield sometime next week.

When you get it... You'll need to have it notorized and then mail it to Glunn in Hollywood.

Glunn will then assign the infraction point but he will also send you a Cherry Cheesecake that you can enjoy at your leisure.

Actually, this week's prize is duck confit. Yesterday I cooked this for the first time and it came out almost perfect.
