GCTF Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Not a lot of respect for Arcia's arm there, by Harper. It's a clown arm, Bro.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 The black hole that is our catcher spot continues to impress. Everybody has a black hole there Except the Giants
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I do believe I could mute the TV and still hear Jim Joyce call a strike.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Why was Hughes not pinch hit for? Is it just too early in the game?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Interesting AB for the leadoff hitter. Swing away, BUNT!I don't think such sequence is terribly unusual. If bunting is part of your game, you don't want the defense ever to feel too comfortable. And bunting doesn't only occur in cases where the batter's plan is solely "I'm bunting this time up".
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I do believe I could mute the TV and still hear Jim Joyce call a strike.Philosophical conundrum: if Jim Joyce falls in the woods, and no one is there to hear him, is it still a strike?
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 If Jim Joyce goes in the woods, and no one is there to hear him, is it still a strike?Depends on his aim.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Roark is having a strikeout buffet today
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Seven strikeouts by Twins batters in 3 innings. Inconceivable!
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Seven strikeouts by Twins batters in 3 innings. Inconceivable!

jimmer Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Seven strikeouts by Twins batters in 3 innings. Inconceivable!I don't think that word means what you think it means.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Sano makes play, Earth continues to turn. The Baseball Player Positional Flexibility Bell Tolls for me
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Nice play by Sano to end the 3rd.Bremer, is that you?

DrNeau Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Twins making Roark look like Roger Clemens.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I think Roark's on pace for about 20 strikeouts.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 If Kepler stopped shaving tomorrow morning, how many days until we noticed?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Everyone who took the 'over' on today's strikeout total for the Twins should be feeling pretty secure right now. No matter where the over-under line was placed.
