OrangeKicks Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 OK...let's everyone complain about Nolasco, not about our fellow Twins fans. kthanks.Complain about Nolasco? What's there to complain about?
Jham Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 It's not, it was used in response to a triple slash reflecting 14 AB's to make a point. Just to complete the snake eating it's own tail, that response was posted in response to another post using the same 14 AB's to make a different point about Park.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Complain about Nolasco? What's there to complain about? His closely shaven beard?
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Not necessarily so. He may be so overmatched he gets ground into the ground mentally. Finding out you can hit AAA pitching consistently has often been valuable to hitters. Isn't that why AAA exists, after all?Sure, it could help with confidence issues. Eventually he's going to have to make the adjustments at the mlb level though.Buxton is an elite prospect. Therefore he will and should get a long leash to prove he can or cannot make those adjustments.I'm not saying we can't point out that he's struggled so far, I'm just saying let's give him 200 AB's this season before we conclude he hasn't made any improvement.
OrangeKicks Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 His closely shaven beard? It is weird, isn't it? Or is it perfect?
Jham Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 And I'm usually more in defense of veteran replacement level players vs. prospects who will probably be replacement level players but have upside, but I want to see Park and Buxton keep playing. The team's struggles aren't really their fault at this point.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Just to complete the snake eating it's own tail, that response was posted in response to another post using the same 14 AB's to make a different point about Park.Which I pointed out multiple times was to show how crazy it is to want Buxton sent down already, not to actually rip Park. It's such a small sample size, what would Buxtons slash line be if he had a 4 for 4 with 2 doubles tomorrow?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 It's only three innings, but maybe if Nolasco goes six and gives up one or two while the Twins continue to get shut out, it will call further attention to the folly of the Twins' long-standing organizational stance that offense is a frivolous distraction in the pursuit of a lineup of eight defensive savants.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 It is weird, isn't it? Or is it perfect? He definitely spends time on it. Mauer doing very well so far.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Buxton's not Trout. You know why? No one's close to Trout. The sooner the comparison ends for Twins fans the better everyone will be able to judge his progress. My point wasn't that Buxton is Trout. It was that even the best hitters in the game can struggle in their first couple hundred AB's.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 man that's a low strike call on sano
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 k's just keep on coming, and hardly any of them are actual strikes
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 It is weird, isn't it? Or is it perfect? The beard is weird. The hair was perfect, at least before it turned to hat hair...

I was wrong, send them both down.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Another GIDP opportunity for an opponant, foiled by the Twins.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 The beard is weird. The hair was perfect, at least before it turned to hat hair... For an instant, I though Bark's had surfaced.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Circus Boy Update: Circus Boy lurking.
OrangeKicks Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Are all of these hitters actually that undisciplined, or is it poor coaching? This is getting a bit ridiculous.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Did you see how often he struck out in an inferior league? Park didn't play in the National League, as far as I know.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Stop.Freaking.Chasing pitches out of the strike zone!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Somebody needs a slump-buster. A whole lotta somebody's, in fact.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Maybe the hitters are all going to bust out of their slump at the exact same moment and the Twins will average 10 runs a game.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 By-the-by..."Christian Bail." The answer we were looking for was "Christian Bail." Is what you call Batman skipping church.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Stop.Freaking.Chasing pitches out of the strike zone! Those are good pitches. It's a lot like Johan Santana used to get all those swings on pitches that were in the dirt.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Ricky's 2nd time through the KC lineup. If I recall, opponents became Murderers Row in the past during their 2nd ABs.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Whoever this new pitcher we got to fill Nolasco's place is, he's pretty good.
