It's the first time we've had any significant rain in Austin in over 50 days. Decided to take a break from the game, open a new beer, and watch the thunderstorm roll through from the balcony.. Who else is with me on this activity?

I'd be more disappointed if it wasn't the third baseman in foul territory.

... or Professor Plum in the conservatory...

But will it be a two hopper seeing eye single or a three hopper seeing eye single that raises his average?

Yes.

Unless it's a flare or dying quail.

or a sac fly with the bases juiced and no outs

Is it just me (entire board responds "Yes" without waiting for the question), or does the crazy old "Sweet Daddy" guy in the casino ad seem a little bit like Wilford Brimley on meth?

He's Wilford Brimley without the sexy.

Remember way back when, when Dick got all upset with bert because he called a texas leaguer a duck fart.

Pelf is so lucky

... or highly skilled at appearing to be lucky.   We may never know for sure.

Is it legal for us to have 3 Eddie's in a row?  Or do we need more?

I once played on a baseball team where all 5 of us in the infield were named Dan.

Got such rain here in Bisbee, AZ yesterday that I didn't have Internet for 24 hours. Couldn't watch last night's game. Was like going back in time. Didn't like it.

I've never seen water come out of the sky quite like it comes out of the sky in AZ.

One of the funniest things I saw was a sign in a suburb of Phoenix, mind you, it was 105 and dry, and the sign said "do not enter when flooded."

Of course, every year during monsoon, some moron would try to drive across a road that was flooded, even though plainly marked.
