glunn Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I want to thank Seth Stohs, Jeremy Nygaard, Codie Christie, Eric R Pleiss and Steve Lein (and anyone who I may have forgotten) for all of their hard work on the minor league reports this season. This is one of my favorite features of TD and these gentlemen have done an exceptional job this year.
SydneyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Agreed, outstanding effort from all of the guys to make the minor leagues genuinely interesting and engaging
David HK Verified Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Guys, a big thanks for all the work this year. I'm with Glunn, this has been one of my favorite things on this site, too. It's been a wild ride with the big club this year, but for too long now, all the action has been down on the farm, and you guys have done a great job keeping us up on the action, and introducing us to the stars of the future. Hats off-- I'm already looking forward to next year!
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Great job, everyone! It is something that I absolutely check every day.
twinssouth Provisional Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Outstanding job Guys. Everyday I read the updates and reports and always impressed that they are on time, with complete analysis. Sad to see the party ending soon. Good luck to Chattanooga and Cedar Rapids in the playoffs.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Great job everyone! Always look forward to reading the previous days action every morning.
Steve Penz Verified Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I read this post daily. Thank you alll.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 One of my favorite parts of the site, thank you to everyone involved.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Thanks for the kind comments everyone! Definitely appreciated. But if definitely isn't possible without Jeremy, Cody, Eric and Steve... It is a lot of work, but the feedback and response and comments are great. It's so much fun for me, to 1.) see how much things have changed in terms of people caring about the minor leagues since I started writing about them 8-10 years ago, and 2.) it's fun to see this current group come up and show what they can do. And, there's more talent to come!
James Verified Member Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I also want to thank everyone who makes these reports happen. They are my favorite part of TD, and I check them every day. Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to reading about the minor leagues in the seasons to come.
Guest Guests Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Just adding my thanks to this dedicated group of writers. It's the very first thing I read at TD every day.
Eric R Pleiss Provisional Member Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Thanks team! I enjoy writing these reports and figuring out who some of these guys are. Hats off the Seth and his TD team for making this happen! Thanks especially to Cody and Steve and to everyone except Jeremy Nygaard. May his wretched Wisconsinite soul never again make its presence known on this wonderful website.* *But also thank you to Jeremy Nygaard, who probably does not have a wretched Wisconsinite soul, but even if he did I would be okay with it making its presence known on this wonderful website.
Steve Lein Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Thanks for the kind words! We definitely appreciate it! I remember becoming really interested in the Minor Leagues while back in college, and I saw the Twins newest first round draft pick being interviewed on ESPN after the draft. He was supposed to be their shortstop of the future. Here was this 18-year-old high school kid on national TV, talking about how he was about to start his journey to fulfill his dream of becoming a major league baseball player. I was so jealous back then as a 21 year old baseball fanatic who spent the summers playing Town Team Baseball. But I also thought it was so cool that this kid from California named Trevor Plouffe was getting that opportunity to chase his dreams. I started researching and following everything I could about the minor leagues, and eventually would stumble onto the blogs of the Twins writers right here, like Seth and John. Seth was a large influence for me writing my own blog back then well before this site came to fruition. We love this stuff, and we're happy and grateful you guys do to. As Seth mentioned, it can be a lot of work, but because of the appreciation like this, we know it pays off!

Thanks for the personal background (and all the morning briefings)! My journey in the minor leagues started with an 18-year old Latroy Hawkins, and it seems part of my 'soul' will die when he officially hangs up his spikes in October.
Steve Lein Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Thanks for the personal background (and all the morning briefings)! I also followed the minors casually after watching a skinny 18-year old shortstop club a home run for the Appleton Foxes in the Midwest League when I was 11. Any guesses who that might have been? (Hint: he's chasing Ruth)

Oh cry me a river, "kid"! My minor league "journey" started with seeing Chili Davis in a Cedar Rapids Giants uniform!

wavedog Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Great post - yes thanks to all the contributors! I check on the minor league updates every day. Appreciate your diligent work.
