SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I know Perk isn't a LOOGY but would it not make sense to bring himIn here?Lefties have lit up Perk pretty good this year.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Molitor foresaw extra innings, else he'd have pinchrun for Sano.Shut 'em down (or up. Both are good) Jepsen!I have a feeling if he would have been on 2nd he would have been pinch run for
Jham Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 a) Hoey didn't throw 99, and That he could throw mid-90s was the only reason he even got where he did. How hard does Meyer ACTUALLY throw? Could he have some Betonces in him?
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Their starter had his face broken in the 2nd inning. That's why their (6-man) bullpen is a mess. What's our excuse?

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Good work Jepsen! Now just to PH Vargas for Suzuki and we can end this game soon! Oops ShouldaCouldaWoulda and DiscGolfer 2
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Jim Hoey says "Hey."So does Mike MacDougal.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I think you ride the Jepsen horse until he can't run no more.

amjgt Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 How hard does Meyer ACTUALLY throw? Could he have some Betonces in him?We couldn't be that lucky
S. Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Wonder if we'll see May. He couldn't have thrown all that many pitches on Friday.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 a) Hoey didn't throw 99, and That he could throw mid-90s was the only reason he even got where he did. Betances average 96.9 this year, Hoey averaged 95.3 in his long 2 year career. I will say....I really thought Hoey was hitting the high 90's, but apparently I am wrong.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I think you ride the Jepsen horse until he can't run no more. Jepsen is solid, it's the rest of the bullpen not named Perkins I worry about. I'd bring him back out for the 10th if it's still tield for sure. Then Perk for 11/12, then pray for rain?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 We couldn't be that luckyMy guess is we'll never know, because next spring he'll go back into Rochester's rotation and waste another year. Hosken Bombo Disco 1

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 49 pitches on friday, you'd think they could still use him.According to Dickbert, the Twins would rather not use him tonight. glunn and DiscGolfer 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Brutal brutal at bats that inning.
S. Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Hey, guys, how about we work some counts since, you know, they don't have any more relievers left Whats that old saying? Bat a fast inning to get your pitchers back out on the mound? Yeah...thats it.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Apparently the Yanks Bullpen is done at this point. Miller can maybe go one more inning and then perhaps it's Sabathia time. glunn 1

howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 And Perk's gonna blow it. I'm officially concerned about him.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Sigh. Not a good start Perk.
