70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 This Blue Jays offense is so freaking ridiculous, every guy is a threat to hit it out of the park on any bad pitch. It's going to be imperative that the Twins don't make mistakes in the field or walk guys this series. The HR's will happen, hopefully most of them will be solo shots or 2 run dingers at worst. Well... maybe not Revere. James 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hunter with a HR. That should piss a few posters off. Ultima Ratio, mickeymental, James and 1 other 4
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hunter with a HR. That should piss a few posters off. there are Jays' fans here? Otherwise, bunk. But whatever.... James 1
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 You let that SCRUB hit a HR off you? ashbury 1
mickeymental Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hunter with a HR. That should piss a few posters off.i'm pretty sure somebody put the fork back in over the weekend. smart move. ashbury 1

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Hunter with a HR. That should piss a few posters off.Nah. The only way the Twins stay in it is if Hunter starts hitting again. Edited August 3, 2015 by DaveW
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Glad to see Santana brought his D game today.Walking Revere on 4 pitches?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 a 4 pitch walk to Ben freakin' Revere? Dammit Ervin.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 And yes you post everyday you would cut him, it's not going to happen.I'm not Mike, but if I were, I'd cut Mauer too. James and Riverbrian 2
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 a 4 pitch walk to Ben freakin' Revere? Dammit Ervin.Revere has to be on the short list of guys that it makes no sense to walk ever in any situation. The guy has singles power and nothing else. You are better off just putting one right down the middle and playing the percentages. Mike Sixel 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hey, I have a great idea! Let's turn this into every other thread on the site, because some things just haven't been repeated enough times.Like is said on every thread... DaveW and Riverbrian 2
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I very much enjoyed Donaldson flailing at that and looking confused afterwards. Great way to work out of that jam Santana
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Given our (lack of a) bullpen, I'm not happy Santana needed 27 pitches in that inning. After 2 (1-1 CBU) I'm going out on a limb and say Ervin doesn't get that CG after all.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 0 for 3 with RISP thus far.and the Jays are 0-4. I like their chances of turning it around better than ours, unfortunately.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I'm not Mike, but if I were, I'd cut Mauer too. If, but only if? ashbury 1
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 If, but only if? I was wondering that..... Like, if john were me, he'd do that, or he'd do that if he was john? it is john, right? Riverbrian 1
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 And that is why you don't bunt in the third inning of a 1-1 game.... GCTF, Jham, Kwak and 1 other 4
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Great stroke by Zuke, let's get that lead back!
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 and the Jays are 0-4. I like their chances of turning it around better than ours, unfortunately. That is who I was referring to actually, I was wrong, it is 0 for 4!

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 BUNTING IN THE THIRD INNING ARRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Great stroke by Zuke, let's get that lead back!He is taking some much better at bats as of late.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Dozier on a pace to break 30 home runs. That's just impressive, second baseman or not.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Wait, did they try to sacrifice in the third inning? Really? Against one of the highest scoring teams in the league? Really not a fan. I'm guessing Jack Goin has stats that prove me wrong though..... Edited August 3, 2015 by mike wants wins Riverbrian 1
rghrbek Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 And that is why you don't bunt in the third inning of a 1-1 game.... Wait, the twins bunted in the top of the 3rd? With a dude on 2nd and nobody out? Kill me now
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 BUNTING IN THE THIRD INNING ARRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHActually now it makes a ton of sense why he batted Nunez 2nd today. Molly loves his bunting, but every time the Twins face a good pitcher it seems like he kicks up the bunting and stealing up 5 more notches.
