Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 If there was a Bark Art Exhibit and next door a Van Gogh Exhibit I'd go to Bark's everytime.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Did you guys notice o'rourke shaking or his hand after a couple of those sliders?
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 2-1 game 8th inning, thank Jesus the top of the order is due up, lord knows we don't have any PH for the bottom of the order since we need a 8 man bullpen featuring 4 guys the manager isn't comfortable bringing into high leverage situations.

The other day my mom asked me, "Who's Van Gogh again? was he a Renaissance artist?" Nope, mother dear ... nope. Not any more than Bark's creations are prehistoric cave paintings.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Especially today, we need to win this one. In honor of the the 50th Anniversary of our 1965 World Series Team, I must raise the "Flag of Our Fathers"!
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Someone needs to inform this Mariners reliever that his hat is on funny.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 You can have double vision. Has anyone ever had double hearing? If anyone could, it would be Van Gogh.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Someone needs to inform this Mariners reliever that his hat is on funny. It's probably that quiver on his back. It somehow knocked his hat askew.

Enjoy yours while you can. / Here is a typical one, from the 1960s, repeating a joke she'd heard. "Where does Batman take his trash? To the dump."

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 1 ****ing run in 17 innings vs the worst team in the AL. This team is toast
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Sano and/or Plouffe should really learn 1B. Our current 1B needs to retire, gracefully.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 five hits in 17 innings don't cut it.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Sano and/or Plouffe should really learn 1B. Our current 1B needs to retire, gracefully.Derp Mauer is the 3rd best hitter on this team the last 40 games.

MIguel Sano: [Responding to being asked to play first base] I've only ever played third base. Terry Ryan: It's not that hard, Miguel. Tell him, Wash. Ron Washington: It's incredibly hard.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 I will say this about Trevor May: He's looking lean and mean, and he has developed his power reliever delivery. He looked practically overwhelming just then. 96 and 97mph, and spotting his fastball within about an inch.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Ah, our old bugaboo: lifting your best slugger for a pinch runner, when the best and most likely scenario is extra innings.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Does anyone else think it is "stupid" to pinch run for Sano, a) when he has good speed, and , the team is down by a run, thus the chance of extra innings is very possible ... then we would be without Sano. Yet it happens every time.
