ashbury Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I can't read Moose and Squirrel together without a June Foray bad Russian accent sliding into it. FTFY. / she's apparently still around, at age 97. Hope she's doing well. Riverbrian 1
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 (edited) See that swing by Jorge Polanco? Much better hands than Danny Santana. Punches his hands through the zone almost the way Rosario does, not quite as much outward snap as Eddie, but a nice, flat drive. With that swing, Polanco will get a lot of hits. The barrel stays in the zone really well. Santana's got a quicker, more sudden swing, but his barrel pulls off the line of the ball far too soon, so he doesn't barrel it up as much as Rosario, and not as much as I predict Polanco will, either. Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Buxton, Hicks, Rosario. I can live with that. I'm liking this thought to...I'd love that OF but after thinking about it... With Mauer at 1B... we really need some pop outside of Sano. DH is going to have to be a big hitter.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Twins up. By four.......still too close for May to come in? Riverbrian and ashbury 2

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 I bitch about lack of trades as much as anyone but doesn't mean I don't respect the GM in charge of the Twins, I just wish for once he would say F it were swinging big on a Cespedis and going for it. I see enough potential in this team with a few tweaks that they could hang with the big boys. There is always August but it would be nice to add bullpen help or a thumper now. Twins have a few sharks to hang in the deep end of the pool they just need a few more or one really large one. I agree with you 92% However... Not at least addressing this bullpen would be concerning to me. They don't cost much and can be had for prospect #20.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Escobar? Nunez? Hermann? Fryer? Maybe a little bigger. Just a tish bigger.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 No. He'd be blocked by Mauer...That'un needs more Likes than it is getting. Riverbrian 1
