Old News... He's been a .300 hitter for at least 30 Minutes.

Yeah, but I just flipped on gamecast.  Given the forum activity of the last few hours...  stuck in the airport watching X files >>>> Minnesota Twins baseball.

Edit:  that and gamecast isn't working well...

Damn, that guy is flirting with disaster throwing the ball there. Better to walk Dozier than throw it up and in to that particular guy.

Dicknjack were talking about Rosario being a single away from the cycle. The cycle is probably the most overrated accomplishment in baseball. People sometimes cite that it's rarer than a no-hitter but a no-hitter is a much more significant accomplishment because teams almost never lose no-hitters. The cycle is an unusual statistical quirk but that's all it is.

Hicks now batting lefty... only .248...

Damn, he stung that ball, but foul...

Beautiful change up. Hat tip.

Hicks is swinging the bat so much better these days.

I switched to Windows 10 and couldn't get my Kaspersky security to work...got a fix, but but hit the Spanish version by mistake....had to remove and start all over again....got it working as frogs and crickets did their thing in the background, I could hear their laughter

Twins need more runs.....

I agree... I'm now comfortable with him breaking camp with a starting job.

Would be interesting to see the correlation of hitting for the cycle to winning. With that much offense as a baseline, I would expect losses to be infrequent. (Granting that losing a no-hitter is even more infrequent.)

Hey Joe... Where you going... with that bat in your hands.

I'm going down to left field... Where the manager has two men stand.

OVERRATED!!

Hendrix I mean, of course.

"On September 27, 1984, he hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the ninth for the Cleveland Indians in a game against the Minnesota Twins. It was the only plate appearance he had for the Indians, and was meaningless for Cleveland, which was in 6th place in its division. But the home run was crucial for his former team of seven years, the Kansas City Royals, which was in a tight race with the Twins for the American League West division crown. With his home run, the Royals moved two games ahead of the Twins with three to play. The Royals clinched the division the next day."

I agree about being interested to see the correlation, but I wouldn't think that 4 hits has a high correlation to winning.

Pat Tabler. And I remember that night.

Still rarer because there are 18 batters in a game at any given time but only 2 pitchers.

It only seems like there's 18 batters in the game when the Twins pen is at work.

There's really only the one guy at the plate at any given time.

Haven't manufactured one in years.

Yeah, lookin' at Wikipedia, they seemed to have ended in '04.

Also there was a brass instrument company up until the 70s. Some tubas seem to be kickin' around still.

Neither are new i guess...

Ya know something new every day, i guess. (then you knew it?)

Thanks.

It just occurred to me to look up Torii Hunter's current UZR for 2015.

I just had this flashback to his 2014 -18.3 UZR heated discussion in the off season.

It's currently 2.1

Can we just adopt UZR as the best stat ever right now.
