Another bit of ignorance on my part.

Any rhyme or reason as to whether or not the names are on the uniforms?

The '60's throwback unis have no names because that's the way it was 50 years ago. And beyond that, most teams do not put names on the backs of home unis, although I think the Twins do on their newest ones.

I'm not sure what to say. But for you to say something nice about Plouffe. Maybe I should try and think of something nice to say about Delmon Young.

Some rhyme/reason, but it takes second place to historical accuracy.

 

From a usefulness perspective, i'd expect generally names on visiting uniforms as it is slightly more reasonable to expect home fans to know the numbers...

 

But that isn't thinking very hard, and life is always more complicated than that...
